Betty R. McKown

Betty R. McKown, 91, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Davenport Lutheran Home.

Services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 28, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, with visitation one hour prior to services. The family will greet friends at a funeral luncheon immediately following services. Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established in Betty’s memory.

The former Betty Rae Bish was born August 22, 1934, in Ottumwa, Iowa, the daughter of William and Louise (Fells) Bish. She was married to Allen Crotts, Sr., and the couple had six children together prior to separating. She worked as a substitute teacher and in the library for the Davenport Public Schools and bartended at several area bars including Doo Dah Saloon in Davenport.

She enjoyed reading, and playing Yahtzee! and Bingo. Above all else, family was the most important thing to Betty, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, who were her true pride and joy.

Betty is survived by six children, Robin Martinez of Davenport, Allen (Deno Printy) Crotts, Jr. of Rock Island, Kathy (Frank Bennett) Crotts of Davenport, Tim Crotts of Davenport, Gary Crotts of Bettendorf, and Kelly (Darryl) Johnson of Moline; 19 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Edna Bishop. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son-in-law, Guadalupe Martinez; grandchildren, Angela Martinez, Breanna Masterson, and Eddie Gordon; and six sisters and two brothers.
