Barbara A. Terry, 72, of Davenport, Iowa, passed on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at her residence.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities. Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established.

Barbara Ann Terry was born on August 4, 1953, in Rock Island, Illinois, the daughter of James L. and Odessa M. (Ambrose) Terry. She attended St. Joseph Catholic School and graduated from Rock Island High School. She received her associate’s degree and went on to dedicate many years to education within the community college system. She later worked at John Deere in customer service for ten years prior to her retirement.

Barb was a member of the Board of Trustees at Black Hawk College and volunteered many hours there and at Western Illinois University – Quad Cities Campus. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rock Island and maintained a strong faith even after its closing. She also volunteered her time with YouthBuild Quad Cities and River Bend Food Bank.

She loved to gamble and could often be found on the riverboats/casinos. She proudly held players cards for many of the casinos and enjoyed spending her time there. She also had a love for music and cherished time spent with her nieces and nephews.

Barb is survived by her sisters, Judy Terry of Davenport, IA, Elizabeth “Diane” Terry of St. Peters, MO, and Darlene Terry of Davenport, IA; her brother, Gerald (TaLitha) Terry of Seattle, WA; her sister-in-law, Christi Terry; nephews, Sterling (Amanda) Terry and Branon Terry; nieces, Alexandria Olsen, Melitta Olsen, Peryn Ryals, Prie Ryals, and DeVoni Lent; many great-nieces and great-nephews; and lots of others whom loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Odessa Terry and brothers, James and Christopher Terry.
