Barbara L. Rankin

Barbara L. Rankin, 80, of Rock Island, Illinois, died Saturday, November 8, 2025, at her residence.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities. Inurment will be held at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.

Barbara Louise Grady was born May 4, 1945, in Rock Island, Illinois, the daughter of Jesse Bertram and Goldie Elva (Wyckoff) Grady. She married Edward Jay Rankin November 18, 1967, in Moline, Illinois. The two shared 26 loving years together before his passing March 13, 1994.

Barbara is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Owens; nieces and nephews, Richard Owens, Thomas Owens, Christine Owens, Jessica Grady, Glenn Owens, Margaret (Midge) Ford, Shirley Painter, John Grady, and Kathryn Hanson; and her friend, Mary Etta Sheraden. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jesse Grady; and nephew, Jeffery Grady.
