Azora Jada Marie Richmond, beloved daughter of Paris Watkins-Griggs and Antonio Richmond, of Moline, Illinois, passed away Monday, January 5, 2026, at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics.
Services are 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 14, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, with visitation one hour prior to services. Cremation will follow at Trimble Crematory. Memorials may be made to the family.
Azora was born two months prematurely on February 12, 2025, in Bettendorf, Iowa. From the very beginning, she showed remarkable strength and determination, fighting bravely for every moment she spent on this Earth. She was a feisty little girl who took in the world around her with wide-eyed wonder. Azora loved playing with her hands, laughing, and quietly observing everything around her. She was gentle and content, and almost never cried, leaving an immeasurable impression of peace and love on all who knew her.
Azora is survived by her loving parents, Paris Watkins-Griggs and Antonio Richmond; grandparents, Trina Rubingh of Davenport, Deone Griggs of Chicago, and Pamela Loyde of Moline; and aunts and uncles, Rome Watkins-Griggs, Xzavion Rubingh, Justice Rubingh, Justin Loyde, Dionna Butler, Diondra Butler, Earnstean Loyde, and Antoine Richmond. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Anthony Richmond.
