Ava J. Simmons, 64, of Colona, Illinois, died Sunday, May 9, 2021, in UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Thurdsday, June 10, 2021, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline.
The former Ava Jo Steadman was born December 11, 1956, in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Stuart and Mary Helen (Hild) Steadman. She married Matthew Simmons on July 30, 1977, in Moline. She worked as a nurses aid for many years.
She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline, and enjoyed drawing, baking, music and playing guitar.
Survivors include her husband Matthew; a son, Andrew Simmons; and a granddaughter, Ariana Simmons.
