Anthony J. Edgeworth

Anthony J. Edgeworth, 60, of Moline, Illinois, died unexpectedly of natural causes on Monday, December 19, 2022, at home.

Services are 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 23, 2022, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, with Rev. Tanner Payton officiating. The family will greet friends at a visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. and also immediately following services from 2:30 until 4:00 p.m. at CityView Celebrations (lower level of Trimble Pointe). Cremation will take place following services with private burial at Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to Tony’s children.

Anthony James Edgeworth was born August 22, 1962, in Moline, the son of James and Marlene (Deardoff) Edgeworth. He married Barbara “Barbie” Taylor, and the couple had two children before separating. He worked at Blue Linx in Milan and truly loved his job.

Tony was a friend of Bill W. and enjoyed helping others over the years. He was a good cook who was known for his Indian and Thai food. He would golf anytime, anywhere, but especially enjoyed golfing with his friends at Saukie Golf Course in Rock Island. Above all else, family was the most important thing to Tony. He was very proud of his children and adored his granddaughter.

Tony is survived by his beloved children, Taylor Edgeworth and Evan Edgeworth, both of Moline; the light of his life, his granddaughter, Elodie; siblings, Lori (Brian) Dailey, Lisa (Tom) Zmuda, Linda (Mike) Bousson, and Tom Edgeworth; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
