Gay Ann Heald, 73, of East Moline, Illinois, died Saturday, July 28, 2007, in Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, Illinois
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Burial is in Rose Lawn Memorial Estate, Moline. Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan.
The former Gay Ann Waffle was born August 20, 1933, in Moline, the daughter of Alfred and Alice (Johnson) Waffle. She married Carl B. Heald on August 19, 1955, in Moline. He died November 30, 1990. She had been active in Moline Turners.
Gay is survived by five children, Lynn Heald and her partner Susan Abbott of Oak Park, Illinois, Karna Heald of East Moline, Janet Strom and her husband David of Plainfield, Illinois, JoAnn Shrum of Cordova, Illinois, and Todd Heald and his wife Deborah of East Moline; eight grandchildren; her brother and sister-in-law, George and Kathy Waffle of Foster City, California; and a sister-in-law, Marie Heald of Moline. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a daughter, Pamela.
