Amanda M. Gerich

Amanda M. Gerich, 34, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2022, at home.

Private services will be held at Trimble Funeral Home & Crematory, Moline, with burial at Rock National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established in Amanda’s memory.

Amanda Michele Gerich was born May 6, 1988, in Davenport, to Julie Klaus and Clifford Gerich. She married the love of her life, Halli Tobin on April 28, 2018, in Davenport. She was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army who was continuing her service to our country with the U.S. Army National Guard. Most recently, she worked for John Deere Parts Distribution Center in Milan, Illinois.

Amanda always put others first. She was compassionate, driven, funny, tough, loving, and dependable. She was an athletic, and genuine “to the point” type of person who was very clean, despite the fact that she could never quite figure out how to load a dishwasher. She was also an avid Chicago Bears, Chicago Bulls and Iowa Hawkeyes’ fan. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family, friends, and fur-babies.

Amanda is survived by her wife, Halli Gerich; her parents, Clifford Gerich and Julie Klaus; her sister and brother-in-law, Crystal and Marques Simmons; and her beloved fur-babies, Leo and Carter. She was preceded in death by her brother, Alexander Gerich; grandmother, Ethel Klaus; grandfather, Robert Gerich; and fur-baby, Aaliyah.
