Adele E. Erwin

Adele E. Erwin, 83, of Bettendorf, Iowa, died Monday, November 20, 2017, in Genesis East Medical Center, Davenport, Iowa.

Services are 11 a.m. Friday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, with The Rev. Paul Lindblad officiating. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation is one hour before the services. Memorials may be made to the Heart, Cancer, or Lung Associations.

The former Adele Esther Carstens was born November 9, 1934, in Davenport, to Alfred and Elsie Richter Carstens. She married Bobby G. Erwin, Sr., on November 22, 1956, in Moline. He died November 3, 2006. She loved all types of sports, especially the Chicago Cubs and Bears, and enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, flowers and cooking.

Adele is survived by six children and spouses, Kimberly Ballou of Kewanee, Illinois, Christopher and Sheree Erwin of Coal Valley, Illinois, Denita Stoker of Davenport, Bobby G. Erwin, Jr., of Bettendorf, Michelle and Gregory Woods of Danville, Iowa, and Melissa and Michael Smith of Bettendorf; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, seven brothers and four sisters.
