William Duane Stuart

William "Bill" D. Stuart, 72, of Moline, died Friday, December 20, 2002 in Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island, Illinois. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM, Monday in First Covenant Church, Moline where he was a member. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at Trimble Funeral Home in Moline. Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the church. William Duane Stuart was born February 17, 1930 in Quincy, Illinois the son of George and Cora (Wheeler) Stuart. He married Hazel D. Pratt in 1976 in Moline. Bill served in the United States Marine Corps for 3 years during the Korean Conflict. He was employed at John Deere Plow Planter Works retiring in 1990 from Harvester-Moline after 27 years of service. Bill was involved with the John Deere Thursday Night Bowling League for 18 years, having served as President. Survivors include his wife, Hazel of Moline; four sons and daughters-in-law, Duane and Sharon Stuart, Doug and Ann Stuart, Don and Linda Stuart, and Scott and Deb Stuart; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cyndy and Marvin Simmons, and Lori and Tim Smith; stepson and daughter-in-law, David and Paula Pratt; stepdaughter, Lori Pratt Hayden; fourteen grandchildren, Randy, Ryan, Corey and Megan Stuart, Eric, Sara, and Amy Stuart, Katie Stuart, Joshua and Erin Smith, Alyssa Grissom, Jonathan Pratt, Morgan and Marley Pratt; and a great-granddaughter, Jasmine Stuart. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Jim Stuart and George Stuart Jr.
