Vicki L. Sievers, 62, of Grand Mound, Iowa, died Monday, May 18, 2015, in her residence after a fearless battle with cancer, surrounded by family.

Visitation is 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Following visitation, cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, with a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Heritage Church, Rock Island, with The Reverend Steve Abel officiating. Memorials may be made to the family.

The former Vicki Lynn Spurgeon was born August 12, 1952, in Omaha, Nebraska, the daughter of Jack and RoseBerta (Capron) Spurgeon. She married Gary Crotty in 1975. He died in April of 1990. She married Mark "Sparky" Sievers on December 30, 1999, in Grand Mound.

Vicki worked in human resources for RR Donnelley, formerly Von Hoffmann Graphics and Bawden Printing, in Eldridge, Iowa, for 23 years, retiring in 2011.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Grand Mound, and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed fishing, her dogs, the St. Louis Cardinals, and spending time with her family, especially watching her grandchildren and their various sporting events.

Vicki is survived by her husband, Sparky; children, Jonathan and Amy Wietting of East Moline, Illinois, Rebecca Crotty of Hillsdale, Illinois, Robert Sievers and his fiancé, Amanda Knight, of DeWitt, Iowa, Anthony Sievers of Osan, Kyonggi-Do, Korea, and Grant Sievers of Grand Mound; a step-daughter, Amanda and Ken DeWoulf of Maquoketa, Iowa; grandchildren, Austin and Logan Wietting, Alyssa Johnson, Ryan and Emma Clark, and Alexandria and Avery Sievers; great-grandchildren, Kaiya Cooper and Zaydin Cochuyt; sisters, Diana and Jamie Mueller of Milan, Illinois, and Jonna Spurgeon of Moline; several nieces and nephews; dear friends, Polly Bense, Deanne Newell, and Terry Boyer; and her dogs, Tobey and Cooper. She was preceded in death by her parents.
