Vernita Brugman Duquin

Vernita Brugman-Duquin, 86, of Moline, Illinois, formerly of St. Petersburg, Florida, died Wednesday, October 5, 2005, in Oak Glen Home, Coal Valley, Illinois
No Services will be held. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline.
The former Vernita Curtwright was born July 7, 1919, in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of Lester and Rose (Bodget) Curtwright. Vernita married Francis ?Bruggy? Brugman in March of 1944 in Muscatine, Iowa; he died January 26, 1980. She then married Julius ?Duke? Duquin in August of 1989; he died August 2, 1994. Vernita was employed as an assembler for over 20 years at Collins Radio Company in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Vernita was a member of the St. Petersburg American Legion Women?s Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling, having visiting every National Park in the United States Park System, and had gone on 27 cruises.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Gloria Riley of Moline, four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, a sister Lafrona Collen and her daughter, Vicki, both of Dallas Texas. She was preceded in death by a grandson, John Riley.
