Velda Berniece Veith

Services for Velda Veith, age 73 of Rock Island, Illinois are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. Burial is in Western Township Cemetery, Orion, Illinois. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Velda B. Veith Memorial Fund. Mrs. Veith died Saturday, October 19, 2002 at Trinity Medical Center in Rock Island. The former Velda Boney was born April 18, 1929, in Moline. The daughter of Leo and Florence (Lueth) Boney. She worked for Case IH, East Moline as a Combine Repairer for many years and was a member of the U.A.W. Local 1304. Mrs. Veith is survived by four daughters, Linda Capps of Matthews, North Carolina, Arlene Baber of Valparaiso, Indiana, Genevieve Smith of Rock Hill, South Carolina, and Shirlie McNeely of Rock Island, Illinois Thirteen Grandchildren; Nineteen Great-Grandchildren; a sister, Lea Hock of Colona, Illinois; two brothers, Ralph Boney of Lynn Center, Illinois, and Richard Boney of Orion, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her son, Darrel Martin, and a grandson, Shannon Buhlman.
