Trudle Baughn

Trudle Baughn, 89, of Milan, Illinois, died Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at his home in Coal Valley, Illinois.

Services are 11 a.m. Monday, August 8, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery.

Trudle was born December 1, 1932, in Sulligent, Alabama, the son of Dee and Mary (Wilson) Baughn. He married Arnell Gosa on September 30, 1952, in Gattman, Mississippi. She died January 16, 2022.

He served in the U.S. Army for two years before serving over 20 years in the National Guard, retiring in 1994.

He enjoyed lawn maintenance, painting, being outdoors, gardening, and playing the guitar. Above all else, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Trudle is survived by his children and their spouses, Jerry and Nancy Baughn of Tremont, Illinois, Elizabeth and Ken Williams of Festus, Missouri, Theresa Serrano of Coal Valley, Ted Baughn of Macomb, Michigan, Donna and Randy Bryant of Milan, and Tammy Baughn and Brian Huber of Milan, and David Muller of Coal Valley; many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a sister, Nancy Baker of Smithville, Mississippi. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Muller; a son, Anthony Baughn; a granddaughter, Jerri Michelle Carlton; sisters, Louise Blaylock, Lucille “Tommy” Rhudy, and Sylvia Johnson; and brothers, Claudie Baughn (who died serving in World War II), Troy “Dude” Baughn, Jim Baughn, and ½ brother, Lloyd “Hoss” Glover.
