Penny Sue Eaton Jasper, 52, of Coal Valley, Illinois, died Monday, December 26, 2011, in her home.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Coal Valley, with The Reverend Rick McGough officiating. Burial is in Coal Valley Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Penny Jasper Memorial Fund which will be established as an educational fund for her children.
Penny was born December 10, 1959, in Moline, Illinois, to Richard L. and Shirley Jean Tisdale Eaton. She graduated from Orion High School, and married Randall A. Jasper on July 24, 1982, in Coal Valley. She had been employed as a custodian at Hope Creek Care Center for several years, last working December 6, due to illness. She enjoyed following her children?s sports activities and doing yard work.
Penny is survived by her husband, Randall; four children, Matthew, Grant, Parker, and Hannah Jasper; and her father, Richard Eaton, all of Coal Valley; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lisa and Jeff Kapple of Silvis, and Tracy and Dave Paarmann of DeWitt, Iowa; several nieces and nephews; a close friend, Gloria Stiles of Orion, who was like a mother to her; her step-grandmother, Edna Kuehl of East Moline; her father-in-law, Loren Jasper of DeWitt; and her mother-in-law Linda Jasper-Carrey and her husband Don of Kewanee, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Eaton.
