Jeffrey T. Lawrence, 52, of Moline, Illinois, died Wednesday, August 1, 2007, in his home surrounded by his family after a short illness.
Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Coal Valley, with Father Donald Levitt, Christ the King Catholic Church, officiating. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery on Arsenal Island, where Moline American Legion Post #246 will present military honors. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Trinity Pathway Hospice.
Jeffrey Thomas Lawrence was born December 29, 1954, in Moline, the son of Albert Richard Lawrence Jr. and Margret Ogle Lawrence. He earned a degree in computer science, and served with Military Police in the U. S. Army. Jeff married Sandy Alderson Baldwin on October 21, 2004, in Moline.
Jeff was the owner of A. R. Lawrence and Sons Masonry, taking over the business on his father?s death in 1999. He loved fishing, hunting, cooking and grilling, and enjoyed hanging out with his many friends.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Sandy; two step-daughters, Nicole Baldwin of Bettendorf, Iowa, and Melissa Saucedo and her husband Giovanni of Moline; two grandchildren, Blake and Kiersten Baldwin; his mother, Margret Lawrence of Coal Valley; siblings and their spouses, Colette and John Kissling of Coal Valley, Kent and Kimber Lawrence of Lake Moor, Illinois, and Beth Ann Lawrence of Coal Valley; nieces and nephews, Michael and Torri Lawrence, Andrew Kissling, and Elizabeth Adams; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Albert R. ?Rick? Lawrence III.
