Sue A. Andrews

Sue A. Andrews, 73, of Silvis, IL, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, June 28th, 2022, surrounded by loved ones, after a difficult battle with Lewy Body Dementia.

Sue was born on October 4th, 1948 to Floyd and Vivian(Arnett) Atkinson in Rock Island, IL. She married Mike Andrews on July 8th, 1972 and they went on to have two children. Sue worked in the Silvis School District as an aide for over 20 years.

Sue adored all things creative and could always be found painting pottery, making ceramics, planting flowers, and searching high and low for that perfect antique piece. If Sue could pick one place to be in the world, she would hands-down be on the road headed for the ocean. It was her most favorite place! She loved sitting near the water, listening to the waves crash on the beach, and watching her grandchildren play. It was also no secret that Sue was an amazing cook! She enjoyed making meals for her family and friends while enjoying their company with an after dinner game of cards!

Sue was preceded in death by her mother and father. She is survived by her husband Mike Andrews; children and their spouses, Chris (Brittanee) Andrews and Shana (Mark) Desseyn; her sister, Jerri Batista; along with four grandchildren that she adored, Ben, Grace, Cooper, and Sawyer.

The family would like to especially thank Bethany, Kris, and the entire ProMedica Hospice team, for their kind and compassionate care while Sue was in her final weeks.

Sue requested a celebration of life be held in her honor. We request any of Sue’s friends and family join us in celebrating her beautiful life in the CityView Celebrations Room at Trimble Pointe in Moline, IL on Friday, July 1st, 2022 from 3-5 p.m.
