Roberta M. Looser, 92, of Bettendorf, Iowa, died Sunday, October 30, 2011, in her home.
Services are 1 p.m. Thursday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Burial is in Eliza Creek Cemetery, Mercer County, Illinois.
Miss Looser was born May 6, 1919, in New Boston, Illinois, the daughter of Robert and Nola Irwin Looser. She graduated from Western Illinois University and received her Masters Degree from Columbia University in New York.
She was an elementary teacher for Rock Island Public Schools for several years, retiring in 1969. She previously taught in Mercer County.
She was a member of the Mother Church, First Church of Christ Scientist, Boston, Massachusetts, and Honorary Life Member of the Illinois PTA Congress, and a member of the National Retired Teachers Association.
She loved to travel, and travelled extensively with her sister.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
