Samantha L. Cochuyt

Samantha L. "Sam" Cochuyt, 36, of Moline, Illinois, died suddenly on Monday, July 11, 2016, in her home from natural causes.

Services are 10:00 a.m. Saturday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory following the services, and burial will be in Coal Valley Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sam Cochuyt Memorial Fund.

Samantha Linn Engstrom was born June 23, 1980, in Rock Island, to Stephen and Sarah (Goodwin) Engstrom. She graduated from Moline High School and St. Ambrose University. She married Jason Cochuyt on November 18, 2006, in Moline. She was quality module leader at John Deere Harvester Works, East Moline. She was a member of the Woman's Engineering Club at St. Ambrose, and was an avid runner.

Sam is survived by her husband, Jason; her daughter, Sydnie Cochuyt; her mother and step-father, Sarah and David Schafer of Sherrard, Illinois; her sister and brother-in-law, Stephanie and Brent Rueb and their children, Owen and Bella Rueb, all of Pine Island Minnesota; and her great danes, Thor and Shelbie. She was preceded in death by her father.
