Ruth A, Claybaugh, 80, of Coal Valley, Illinois, died Thursday, June 2, 2022, at River Crossing of Moline.

Visitation is 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Monday, June 6, 2022, at Trimble Funeral Home, Coal Valley. Cremation will take place after services at Trimble Crematory, Moline.

The former Ruth Ann Coffman was born August 29, 1941, in Monmouth, Illinois, the daughter of Arnie and Bertha (Miller) Coffman. She married Gary Claybaugh on September 10, 1959, in Monmouth.

Ruth was a member of the Red Hat Club, and enjoyed puzzles, camping, gardening, and animals. She was a woman who never met a stranger. Above all else, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her beloved husband of over 62 years, Gary; two children, Brian and Peggy Claybaugh of El Cajon, California, and Karen Claybaugh of Andalusia, Illinois; six grandchildren, Amy (Eric) Leuenhagen, Jeriah Edgar, Chad Claybaugh, Ashley (David) Rowatt, James McMurty and Sean McMurty; eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and five siblings.
