Rosella M. Ransom

Rosella Ransom, 86, formerly of East Moline and Abingdon, Illinois, died Tuesday, December 13, 2015, in Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.

Graveside services are Friday at Rock Island National Cemetery. Those wishing to attend should meet at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, by 12:30 p.m.

The former Rosella Marie Treece was born November 8, 1928, in Anna, Illinois, to Thomas Edward and Mary "Molly" (Hufstedler) Treece. She married Walter Ralph Ransom, Jr., on November 21, 1945, in Peoria, Illinois. He died November 6, 2011. She enjoyed cooking, homemaking, and watching Westerns on TV.

Rosella is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Diane Ransom, and a granddaughter, Lindsey Ransom, all of East Moline. She was preceded in death by her husband and numerous half-brothers and half-sisters.
