New Boston, Illinois Ronnie J. Keller age 47, of New Boston, Illinois, died Friday, June 23, 2001 at his residence. Services will be 11:00 am Tuesday at Trimble Funeral Home, Aledo, with military rites performed by the Aledo VFW Post 1571. Memorials may be given to his family. Ronnie J. Keller was born on September 23, 1953 in Aledo, Illinois the son of Kenneth Arden Sr. and Linda (Rhotenberry) Keller. Ronnie served the country that he greatly loved as an infantryman in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War, completing his tour of duty with numerous medals and honors. He made it clear to everyone that knew him that ''He was proud to be an American''. Ronnie had been employed for many years at Keith Freiden Excavating, before becoming self employed. His survivors include his very special woman, Robin Cox of New Boston, IL; his mother, Linda Keller of Tucson, AZ; three children, Jason and Danielle Keller of Galesburg, IL, Kaneta Keller and Alexa Keller both of Joy, IL; two honorary children, Jessica Prater and Blondie Lilly; two great-grandchildren, Logan and Janee Keller both of Galesburg, IL; ten brothers and sisters, Ken Jr. and Marge Keller of Clinton, WI, John Keller of Joy, IL, Dennis Keller of Galesburg, IL, Louie Keller of Cape Girardeau, MO, Carol Keller of Muscatine, IA, Vonna Keller of Hobart, Tazmania, Virginia and Dean Smith of Clark, MO, Donna and Larry Lumkau of Muscatine, IA, Deanna and Dick Vaughn of Muscatine, IA, and Jim Keller of Taylor Ridge, IL.
