Roger L. Elliott

Roger L. Elliott, 76, of Waukesha, Wisconsin, died Saturday, October 30, 2021, in AngelsGrace Hospice, Oconomowoc, Wisconsin.

Services are 11:30 a.m. Friday, November 12, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Rev. C. V. Elliott, Roger’s brother, will officiate. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, Illinois, where Moline American Legion Post #246 will present military honors. Visitation is one hour before the service.

Roger Lee Elliott was born September 24, 1945, at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, To Clifford and Kathleen (Saunders) Elliott. He served in the US Army from 1963 to 1968, and married Carol Sue Tripp in 1969, in Macomb, Illinois. He graduated from Western Illinois University with an IT degree. and served as Region 6 director in Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity in which he was a lifetime member. He retired as an IT specialist from Amdocs in 2016.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Elliott; his daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Chris Helmling of Evansville, Indiana; two grandchildren, Jazmyn Caine and her husband Taylor, and Wolfgang Helmling; his mother, Kathleen Elliott of Freeport, Illinois; and siblings, C. V. Elliott, Mark Elliott, and Leslie Vandre.
