Roberta A. Beeuwsaert

Roberta “Bobbie” Beeuwsaert, 79, of East Moline, Illinois, formerly of Coal Valley, Illinois, died at home on Thursday, December 2, 2021.

Visitation is 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Trimble Funeral Home, 1700 1st Street, Coal Valley. Private graveside services and burial are 11:30 a.m. Wednesday morning at Rock Island National Cemetery, with The Rev. Tim Snart officiating. Memorials may be made to Rock Island County Animal Control.

Roberta Arlene Yohn was born July 24, 1942, in Rock Island, to Raymond and Arlene (Carel) Yohn. Bobbie married Joseph James Beeuwsaert on December 7, 1967, in Rock Island. While raising a family, she also worked for many years as an office administrator for several medical practices in Moline. Her husband, Joe, managed the John Deere Proving Grounds; Joe died July 22, 2012. Throughout her life, Bobbie enjoyed animals. She loved her dog, Ike. She also loved traveling, especially on cruises, and followed football (Pittsburgh Steelers) and college basketball (Iowa Hawkeyes).

Bobbie is survived by three children and their spouses, Lisa and John Phillips of Coal Valley, Jeff and Liz Christenson of Coal Valley, and Brad and Pam Beeuwsaert of Folsom, California; and two stepdaughters, Lori Moore of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Lisa Glass of West Palm Beach, Florida. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and spouses, J. J. “Jack” Phillips, Allyson and Lawrence Davis, Emily Phillips and Fiancé Jon Gonzalez, Rachel and Sean Reid, Suzanne and Gabriel Christenson-Price, Lucien Beeuwsaert, and Gianna Beeuwsaert; Cory and Tera Glass, and Geoffrey Moore; and two great-granddaughters, Charlie Glass and Sophia Davis. Surviving siblings and spouses include Joseph and Janelle Yohn, Debe and John Barsey, Judee and Jim Jagow, and Tom Yohn.
