Robert T. ?Bob? Miller, 79, of Aledo, Illinois, died Monday, October 29, 2012, in Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, Illinois.
There will be a gathering of friends and family from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Aledo VFW Post #1571, to celebrate his life. His cremated remains will be buried in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Renton, Washington. Memorials may be made to Aledo VFW, where Bob was a proud member. Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, is sevring the family.
Robert True Miller was born February 23, 1933, in Keithsburg, Illinois, the son of Lewis and Rilla Halstead Miller. He served in the U. S. Army in Germany from 1953 to 1955. Bob married Thelma Stormo on August 2, 1958, in Seattle, Washington. She died in November, 1995. He retired as a millwright from Boeing in Seattle. He was a master woodworker and enjoyed collecting banks.
Bob is survived by five children, Kathy Morrissey of Tucson, Arizona, Karen Morrissey of Bremerton, Washington, John Morrissey and his wife Nang of Renton, Washington, Dan Miller and his wife Teri of Puyallup, Washington, and Denise Miller of Kent, Washington; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and three sisters, Rose Henderson, Mary Lou Mead, and Ramona Smith, all of Aledo, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his wife, and a brother, Lane Miller.
