Moline, Illinois Services for Robert Burdick, 83, of Moline, are 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. The Reverend A. Parker Lewis III will officiate. Burial is in National Cemetery on the Rock Island Arsenal, where Moline American Legion Post #246 will present military honors. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hope United Church of Christ, Moline. Mr. Burdick died Monday, September 24, 2001, in Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island. Robert Keith Burdick was born April 7, 1918, in Moline, the son of Harry and Nellie (Anderson) Burdick. He married Carol Axell on December 10, 1938, in Davenport. He served in the U. S. Army during WW II. He was a computer operator at Dohrn Transfer Company, Rock Island for 13 years, retiring in 1980, and previously worked at AMETEK for 14 years. He was a member of Hope United Church of Christ, Moline, and Moline American Legion Post #246, and enjoyed woodworking, camping, and fishing. Robert is survived by his wife of 62 years, Carol; a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Curtis LeGrand of Bettendorf; a daughter-in-law, Dorothy Burdick of Moline; four grandchildren, Luanne Gritton, Tracy Reitan, Chris Ehrecke, and Robin Trimble; three great-grandchildren, Tucker Gritton, Nicole Guenther, and Eli Trimble; and a sister, Joan Erickson of East Moline.
