Robert E. Schuter, 83, long-time resident of Geneseo, Illinois, died Saturday, December 15, 2012, in Good Samaritan Village, Geneseo.
Graveside services are 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Oakwood Cemetery, Geneseo. Memorials may be made to Good Samaritan Village. Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, is in charge of arrangements.
Robert Emmit Schuter was born February 3, 1929, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of John and Agnes Schuter. He married Eleanor Dillender in Geneseo. She died April 18, 1997. He served in the U. S. Navy during WW II, and was employed in construction by the City of Geneseo for many years. Bob was a life member of Don Cherry VFW Post #5083, Geneseo. He was well-liked by the Geneseo Community, and was always there when someone needed help.
Bob is survived by several step-children and their families, including a step-granddaughter, Paula Finch of Muscatine, Iowa, and her children, Jennifer Terronez and Steven Ryan.
