East Moline, Illinois R. Kent Williams, 58, of East Moline, died Wednesday, September 17, 2003, in Illini Hospital, Silvis, Illinois. Services are 11 a.m. Monday at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. The Reverend Byron Hand, Bethany Baptist Church, Moline, will officiate. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to an educational fund for his granddaughter, Kailey. Richard Kent Williams was born January 21, 1945, in Moline, the son of Richard R. and Madelyn (Haines) Williams. He graduated from Moline High School in 1963, and married Lynne Huntley on November 20, 1965, in Rock Island. He was General Estimator for Quint City Electric for the past 28 years. Kent was a federally licensed Amateur Radio Operator holding call sign K9UQI. He belonged to the Knife and Fork Club, and enjoyed his Sunday morning ritual of having breakfast with his wife at Old Country Buffet in Moline. Kent is survived by his wife, Lynne; a son, Darrin Williams of Bentonville, Arkansas; a daughter and son-in-law, Kris and Sam Davis of Rock Island; a granddaughter, Kailey Williams of East Moline; his mother, Madelyn Williams of Moline; and a sister, Diane Williams of Moline.
