Reginald E. Holt

Reginald E. Holt, Jr., 66, of Rock Island, Illinois, died Sunday, September 10, 2017, at St. Anthony's Nursing & Rehab, Rock Island.

Services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 16, 2017, at First Paradise Baptist Church, 1520 9th Ave., Rock Island. Cremation will take place prior to services at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home.

He was born April 18, 1951, in Fort Madison, Iowa, the son of Reginald Sr. and Beverly (Woods) Holt. He belonged to First Paradise Baptist Church, Rock Island. He enjoyed travel and was a boxer in his younger years.

Reginald is survived by his wife, Joanne Holt; three children, Dramont Holt, Yalonda Holt and Algerron Goldsmith, and Dalonzo Holt, all of Rock Island; 16 grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Holt of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Delores Holt of Davenport, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Herbie Holt.
