James R. Wyers, 72, of Moline, Illinois, died Monday, October 27, 2008, in Forest Hill Health Care Center, East Moline.
Services are 2 p.m. Thursday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Burial is in Riverside Cemetery, Moline. Visitation is one hour before the services. Memorials may be made to the family.
Jim was born May 29, 1936, in Fayette County, Alabama, the son of James Edgar and Elsie Mae (Bryan) Wyers.
He is survived by a sister, Bobbie N. Paustian of Moline; brothers and a sister-in-law, Rev. Edward and Linda Wyers of Wynne, Arkansas, and Lee Wyers of Moline; five children and spouses, James B. and Astrid Wyers of Davenport, Sheri and Chuck Simmons of Milan, Gregory and Lisa Wyers of Rock Island, Kelley and Charles Colterof Laverne, Tennessee, and Robert and Tracy Wyers of Rock Island; 12 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
