Phyllis J. Davis, 83, of Rock Island, Illinois, died Monday, March 30, 2015, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline, Illinois.

Services are 1:00 p.m. Friday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Burial is in Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island. Visitation is 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday.

The former Phyllis Jean Stromquist was born August 3, 1931, in Rock Island, the daughter of Clarence Fred and Nell (Brien) Stromquist. She married Howard L. Davis on December 14, 1956, in East Moline. He died June 4, 2014.

Phyllis was a secretary for the former Iowa-Illinois Gas and Electric Company. She was a former member of South Park Presbyterian Church, Rock Island, and enjoyed playing the piano and genealogy.

Phyllis is survived by children and spouses, Wayne and Barb Tyrrell of Florida, Kathy and Bob Hook of Coal Valley, Illinois, Kent Davis of Rock Island, and Kurt Davis and Meg Hoskins of Rock Island; step-children, Deborah and Rich Parkinson of Rock Island, and William Davis of Virginia; 16 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; a sister, Janet Bobb of East Moline, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and a sister, Dorothy Huff.
