Patricia K. Hanson

Patricia K. Hanson, 88, of Moline, Illinois, and Jupiter Island, Florida, wife of the late Robert A. Hanson, former Chairman and CEO of Deere & Company, died Friday, December 29, 2017, at her home in Florida.

Private family services are Saturday, January 13, 2017, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, with The Rev. Larry Conway officiating. Burial is in Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Augustana College or Quad City Symphony Orchestra.

The former Patricia Klinger was born June 7, 1929, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Ralph and Dorothy O'Rourke Klinger. She and Bob were married on June 25, 1955, in Chicago, Illinois. They were married 61 years before his death on May 19, 2016. The couple were active supporters of Augustana College, Junior Achievement, and the Quad City Symphony Orchestra, and were members of the Jupiter Island Club, Seminole Golf Club, Crow Valley Country Club, The Outing Club, and Rock Island Arsenal Golf Club, She was an avid tennis player and golfer.

Patty is survived by her niece Lisa Wood and her husband Mark of West Chester, Ohio, and great-nieces, Allison Wood of San Antonio, Texas, and Pamela Wood and Jennifer Wood, of West Chester. She was preceded in death by her husband, and Bob's sister and brother-in-law, Marjorie and Kenneth Suss.
