Pamela D. Adams

April 14, 1959 — January 11, 2018

Pamela D. Adams, 58, of Rock Island, Illinois, died Thursday, January 11, 2018, at University of Iowa Hospital, Iowa City.

Graveside services are 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island, with Msgr. Mark J. Merdian officiating. Those wishing to attend should meet at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe 701 12th Street, Moline, between 10:00 and 10:30 a.m. to go to the cemetery in procession, at Pam's request. Pamela Dee Adams was born April 14, 1959, in Rock Island, the daughter of Arthur Reginald and Denese Angela (Hayes) Adams. She earned her Bachelor's Degree from Western Illinois University before starting her career as a probation officer with Rock Island County for four years. The majority of her career was spent working for the Department of Children and Family Services for the State of Illinois, where she was a social worker and legal liaison for 29 years, retiring in January of 2014.

Pam was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Rock Island, where she volunteered for Perpetual Adoration for many years. She was a Master Naturalist through the University of Illinois, and was a huge Chicago Cubs and Notre Dame Fighting Irish fan. Having spent so much time at the University of Iowa Hospital, she claimed that the Hawkeyes brought her into their "way of life", but only part time!

She enjoyed extensive travel, fishing, bicycling, bird watching, hiking in the woods, books, antiques, and music.

Pam is survived by very special friends, Lori and Mark Fellenzer of East Moline, Gena and John Moore of East Moline, Penny and Brad Blaser of Taylor Ridge, Illinois, Susan Pierce Casper of Florida, and Belinda Allen and Jim Sacco of Atlanta, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents, a very dear aunt and uncle, and her special pets, Nel and Dr. Maxie O'Doodle.
