Opal C. Sheley

Moline, Illinois Services for Opal Sheley, 89, of Moline, are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. The Reverend Dr. Robert Miller, First Congregational Church, Moline, will officiate. Burial is in Moline Memorial Park. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Opal Sheley Memorial Fund. Mrs. Sheley died Saturday, January 5, 2002, in Heartland Health Care Center, Moline. The former Opal Clara Hanna was born October 2, 1912, in Moline, the daughter of Robert and Amanda (Anderson) Hanna. She married Willard W. Sheley on October 5, 1929, in Moline. He died December 28, 1996. Opal is survived by three children and their spouses, Barbara and Edward Grymonprez of Geneseo, Willard C. "Bill" and Nancy Sheley of Sherrard, and Cynthia and Ronald Johnson of Moline; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Ione and Wayne DePron, two grandsons, four brothers, and three sisters.
