Norene Derry

Moline, Illinois Norene Derry, 98, of Peoria, Illinois, died Monday, April 1, 2002, at her granddaughter's home in Moline. Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at Wilton Mortuary, Peoria. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial is in Swan Lake Memory Gardens, Peoria. Trimble Funeral Home, Moline, is in charge of local arrangements. Memorials may be made to Grace Presbyterian Church, Peoria, where she was a member. The former Norene Baumgartner was born July 25, 1903, in Fulton County, Illinois, to Hart and Carrie Markley Baumgartner. She married Guy Derry; he died November 19, 1956. She owned and operated Norene Derry Realty in Peoria for many years. She was former president and secretary-treasurer of the Peoria Board of Realtors. She is survived by a sister, Emily Curless of Astoria, Illinois, three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
