Nancy K. Edwards

Nancy K. Edwards, 73, of Colona, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 7, 2019, at UnityPoint Health - Trinty Rock Island, Rock Island, Illinois.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation is 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday. Memorials may be made to the family.

The former Nancy Kay Bauersfeld was born December 18, 1945, the daughter of John Sr. and Katherine (Erwin) Bauersfeld. She graduated from Rock Island High School and married Lawrence Edwards in 1965 in Rock Island. She was an accountant in the defense finance services division on the Rock Island Arsenal for 30 years.

She enjoyed fishing, camping, and cooking. She and her husband, Larry, loved traveling, especially to Key West, Georgia, Alaska, and going on cruises. Above all else, family was the most important thing to Nancy, and she loved being together on holidays.
Nancy is survived by her beloved husband, Larry; two daughters, Cholette (Steve) Carroll of Galva, Illinois, and Cynthia (Christopher) Lancour of Moline, Illinois; four grandchildren, Amanda Carroll, Dylan (Reiha) Carroll, Talon Lancour, and Paige (Adam) Dell; three great-grandchildren, Althea Coulter, Weston Lancour, and Nolan Lancour; two brothers, John Jr. (Peggy) Bauersfeld of Rock Island, and Edward (Ginny) Bauersfeld of Moline; an uncle, Richard Bauersfeld of Rock Island; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Sophie. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter in infancy, Teresa Ann Edwards.
