Monica Terrell, 76, of Moline, Illinois, died Wednesday, June 6, 2012, in her residence.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Bethel Wesley United Methodist Church, Moline. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church or Ronald McDonald House.
The former Monica Patterson was born December 18, 1935, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, the daughter of Charles and Ida Cullen Patterson. She married Walter Lee Terrell on October 2, 1953, in Beech Grove, Indiana.
She was a member of Bethel Wesley United Methodist Church and Rebekah Circle of the church. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and enjoyed camping and traveling in their motor home.
Monica is survived by her husband, Walter; four children and their spouses, Ronald and Gay Terrell of Colona, Illinois, Tammy and Michael Hoyt of Clay, Michigan, Mark and Terry Terrell of Geneseo, Illinois, and Laura and Jamie Smith of Moline; five grandchildren, Dane Hoyt, Joshua Hoyt, Joie Owen, Bobbie Salmon, and Brendan Smith; six great-grandchildren; and sisters, Eugenia Wilson of Mooresville, Indiana, and Roberta Watson, of Jacksboro, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by a son, Donald Terrell, a sister, Grace Thompson, and a brother, J. Earl Patterson.
