Mildred G. Loding

Moline, Illinois Services for Mildred G. Loding, 91, formerly of Moline, are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. The Reverend Christian Meyer, Trinity Lutheran Church, Moline, will officiate. Burial is in Rose Lawn Memorial Estate, Moline. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Iowa Masonic Health Facility, Bettendorf, where she died Tuesday, February 11, 2003. The former Mildred Genevieve Schwenneker was born December 21, 1911, in East Moline, the daughter of Herman and Anna (Behrendt) Schwenneker. She married Clifford V. Loding on December 27, 1933, in Moline. He died January 21, 1981. The couple owned and operated Loding Nursery in Moline for many years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Moline, and a former member of the Illowa Orchid Society. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, and nature activities. Mildred is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Marlene and Don Coppens of Hampton, Illinois; a son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Brenda Loding of Marengo, Wisconsin; a son-in-law, Ron Larson of Bagley, Wisconsin; five grandchildren, Bradley and Matthew Larson, LeAnn Norris, Dana Coppens, and Bruce Loding; five great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Larson, a brother, William Schwenneker, and a sister, Elnora Jamieson. The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to the many caring personnel at Iowa Masonic who provided "Millie" with excellent care.
