Mildred Darlene Jones, 88, of Moline, Illinois, died Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at UnityPoint Health - Trinity Rock Island.

Services are 2:00 p.m. Monday at Trimble Funeral Home, Coal Valley. Burial is in Coal Valley Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to services. Memorials may be made to the family.

The former Mildred Darlene Blanchard was born February 17, 1926, in Illinois City, Illinois, the daughter of Marshall and Rosa (Braton) Blanchard. She married Milton Carlisle in 1946. She later married Cletis Jones on March 25, 1951, in Rock Island, Illinois. He died July 30, 2004.

She retired from Danaway Bus Lines as a monitor. Previously, she had taught school in Illinois City, waitressed at the White Elephant in Rock Island and the Whistle Stop in Coal Valley, and ran her own Avon business successfully for many years.

Darlene previously attended the Illinois City United Methodist Church. She enjoyed working in her garden, photography, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by a daughter, Tamara Pratt of Coal Valley; a son, Kip Jones of Rock Island; grandchildren, Michelle (Glenn) Schriner of Sherrard, Illinois, Terry Jr. (Teresa) Pratt of Reynolds, Illinois, Melinda Pratt of Coal Valley, Kris "Bo" Jones of Galesburg, Illinois, Kara (Todd) Hurst, of Sherrard, Kyle (Aimee) Jones of Sherrard, and Craig Jones of Rock Island; 17 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Berenyce Reed of Muscatine, Iowa; in-laws, George and Linda Jones, Phyllis Jones, and Rachel and Gene Ortiz; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Kip Jones, Jr.; a great-granddaughter at birth, Ashley Pratt; and brothers-in-law, Boyd Reed and R. T. Jones.
