Megan D. Blaser, 76, of Moline, Illinois, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, in Trinity Rock Island.
Services are 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Homewood Evangelical Free Church, 3303 60th Street, Moline. Visitation is 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at the church. A private burial service will be held at Rock Island National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church, where she was a charter member.
The former Megan Delores Day was born July 12, 1935, in Harper, Iowa, the daughter of Clarence ?Doc? and Doris (Ridenour) Day. She graduated from Rock Island High School. She married Ted P. Blaser on July 18, 1953, in Moline.
Megan was a devoted wife and mother. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed
cheering them on. Megan was an avid gardener.
Meg is survived by her husband, Ted; sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Amy Blaser of Geneseo, Illinois, Steve Blaser of Moline, David Blaser of Louisville, Kentucky, and Ted, Jr. and Diane Blaser of Moline; seven grandchildren; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Allen and Judy Day of Abilene, Kansas, and Darryl and Jo Ann Day of Hilton Head, South Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents, and an infant brother, Merlyn Hal Day.
