Jane Lundeen, 93, of Moline, Illinois, former Moline City Clerk, died Monday, October 31, 2011, in Heartland Health Care Center, Moline.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, with The Reverend James Allemeier officiating. Burial is in Riverside Cemetery, Moline. Visitation is 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to All Saints Episcopal Church, where she was a member, Rock Island County Historical Society, or the Quad City Animal Welfare Center.
The former Etta Jane Anderson was born August 14, 1918, in Moline, the daughter of Otto and Marie (Martin) Anderson. She married Donald L. Lundeen on February 4, 1939, in Moline. He died June 13, 1992.
Jane was the City Clerk in Moline for nine years, retiring in 1989. Previously, she had worked at Deere and Co. for 11 years and for Long and Hook Accounting.
Jane held many offices for the Hamilton and John Deere PTA, and the City Council of PTA, as well as the former Christ Episcopal Church in Moline, where was active in the Altar Guild and the Church Vestry. Active in the community, she was a member of the Oakwood Country Club Ladies Group, Moline Public Hospital Auxiliary, Moline Preservation Society, Rock Island County Historical Society Auxiliary, and the Blackhawk Genealogical Society.
She was a history buff and enjoyed playing bridge, doing needlepoint, and gardening.
Jane is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kent and Debra Lundeen, and their son Ryan, all of Moline. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
