Moline, Illinois Services for Marie L. Faust, 96, formerly of Moline, are 11 a.m. Monday, June 18, 2001, at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. The Reverend Roger Christianson will officiate. Burial is in Riverside Cemetery, Moline. Visitation is 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Riverside United Methodist Church, Moline, or the Diabetes association. Mrs. Faust died Wednesday, June 13, 2001, in Oak Glen Home, Coal Valley. The former Marie Linnea Ekdahl was born May 10, 1905, in Moline, the daughter of Martin and Mary Louise (Erickson) Ekdahl. She graduated from Moline High School. She married Herbert Carl Faust on June 27, 1929, in Moline; he died August 25, 1986. She was the oldest living member of Riverside United Methodist Church, Moline, and a member of Eagles Auxiliary and Clara Lodge of Vikings. She enjoyed playing Bridge, and in earlier years, fishing up North. Marie is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Nancy Faust of Moline; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Robert Albenesius of Auburn, Washington; seven grandchildren, David Faust, Kim Faust, Tracy Nicholson, Wendy Brickner, Suzy Dalton, Andrea Albenesius and Rob Albenesius; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her daughter in law, Patricia Faust, two sisters and one brother.
