Marian A. Welt, 81, of Moline, Illinois, died Thursday, November 30, 2006, in Rosewood Care Center, Moline.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, with The Reverend Dan Cole officiating. Burial is in National Cemetery on the Rock Island Arsenal. Visitation is one houre before the services. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Moline, where she was a member.
Marian Arlene Pitzer was born November 4, 1925, in Mount Sterling, Illinois, the daughter of William and Hattie (Robbins) Pitzer. She moved to Moline to work at the Rock Island Arsenal in 1941. After the war, she was a secretary at Montgomery Elevator Company for 12 years, retiring in 1957. She married William Henry Welt on August 1, 1953, in Moline. He died June 7, 1991.
Marian is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Jimmie Welt of McKinney, Texas, and her sister, Kathryn Daab of East Moline, Illinois.
