Margery Treanor, 82, of Moline, Illinois, died Thursday, December 13, 2012, in her home.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2012, in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, with Pastor Kerry Sullivan officiating. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Temple Missionary Baptist Church, Moline.
The former Margery Jo Christiansen was born July 29, 1930, in Alden, Iowa, the daughter of Allen B. and Thora Hager Christiansen. She married Marlyn Treanor on July 22, 1950, in Iowa Falls, Iowa. He died October 24, 1999. She was employed at Sears in Moline for over 20 years, retiring in 1987.
She was an active member of Temple Missionary Baptist Church for many years, and volunteered in the gift shop at Trinity Rock Island. She loved being involved with her grandchildren?s activities, loved spending time with her family and friends, and enjoyed reading.
Marge is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Charles Treanor of Moline and Dennis and Susan Treanor of Rock Island; four grandchildren, Amanda Bender and her husband Shaun, and Brandon, Zachary and Caitlyn Treanor; two great-grandchildren, Aidan Treanor and Corey Strong; and her brother-in-law, Tony Ingraham of Tucson, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her husband and a sister, Marion Ingraham.
