Margaret M. Alderson

Margaret M. Alderson, 91, of Moline, Illinois, died Monday, August 14, 2017, in Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, Iowa.

A memorial mass will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline, with visitation from 9 a.m. to service time. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, and burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the family.

Margaret Mary Seymour was born March 17, 1926, in Dubuque, Iowa, to Victor and Florence McGovern Seymour. She married Richard Alderson in 1954, and they were later divorced. She had been a secretary at Kone Elevator Company and Samuel's Jewelry Store. She was a member of Christ the King Church, and loved spending time with her family.

Margaret is survived by two children, Sandy Lawrence of Moline and Steve Alderson of Altamonte Springs, Florida; seven grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Randy Alderson, and five siblings.
