Moline, Illinois Services for Margaret A. "Margo" Jones, 78, of Moline, are 11 a.m. Monday at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. The Reverend Jim Crozier will officiate. Burial is in National Cemetery on the Rock Island Arsenal. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 until 5 p.m. Sunday. Memorials may be made to Silvis United Methodist Church, where she was a member. Mrs. Jones passed away Thursday, October 9, 2003, in Illini Hospital, Silvis. The former Margaret Ada Walker was born September 16, 1925, in Berwick, Illinois, the daughter of Claire and Josephine (Giddings) Walker. She graduated from Abingdon High School and attended Western Illinois University. She married Carroll P. Jones on February 17, 1947, in Kansas city, Kansas. He died April 18, 1998. In earlier years, she worked in the office at International Harvester, and then was a bookkeeper for her husband in various local restaurants for several years. She enjoyed volunteering at Illini Hospital, spending time with her family and friends, and her birthday luncheon group. She was a wonderful mom, grandma, and sister. Margo is survived by three children and their spouses, Marc and Karen Jones of East Moline, Jodey and Mike Brinkley of East Moline, and Carrie and Rick Mattan of Geneseo; three grandchildren, Erik Jones, Rebekah Jones, and Jim Zarzour; two step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Dorothy Troop of Springfield, Illinois, and Norma and Ron Dom of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
