Moline, Illinois Malcolm F. "Pat" Patterson, 79, of Moline, died Friday, September 17, 2004, in his home. Services are 2 p.m. Monday at Salem Lutheran Church, Moline, will the Reverend Thomas Peterson officiating. Burial is in National Cemetery on the Rock Island Arsenal, where Moline American Legion Honor Guard will present military honors. Visitation is 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Memorials may be made to the church or Quad City Music Guild. Mr. Patterson was born May 14, 1925, in Moline, the son of William and Violet (Malcolm) Patterson. He graduated from Moline High School, and served in the U.S. Army in the Rainbow Division in the European Theater during WW II. He married Patricia Carlson on June 4, 1966, in Moline. He was previously married to Doris Erickson, who preceded him in death. He was employed by Sears for 36 years, retiring as shipping and receiving clerk in 1987. Pat was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Moline, where he had served on the board and co-chaired with his wife the Salem-Willard Outreach Partnership. He was actively involved with the Quad City Music Guild from 1950 until last year, working in the box office all that time and also serving on the board for many years and in the costume shop. He was awarded the Guild's "SAM" award for his many years of service. He made elaborate miniature houses and enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, gardening and reading. Pat is survived by his wife, Patti; a son Tom Patterson of Indiana; four daughters and husbands, Linda and Tom Gochanour of Moline, Sally Patterson of Springfield, Illinois, Tracy and Bob Fausett of Orion, Illinois, and Nancy Patterson of Moline; eight grandchildren, Joshua, Mellissia, Calvin, Austin, Chloe, Sarah, Emily, and Camryn; and siblings and spouses, David and Darlene Patterson of Moline, and Jeanette and Gary Clendenny of Jerseyville, Illinois.
