Madge West, 96, of Silvis, Illinois, formerly of East Moline and Red Oak, Iowa, died Thursday, November 9, 2006, in Aspen Rehabilitation Center, Silvis.
Services are 2 p.m. Monday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, with visitation one hour before the services. The Reverend Jay Regennitter will officiate. Graveside services and burial are 1 p.m. Tuesday in Evergreen Cemetery, Red Oak. Memorials may be made to Aspen Rehabilitation Center or Riverside United Methodist Church, Moline.
Madge Alice West was born February 24, 1910, in Unadilla, Nebraska, the daughter of James H. and Sarah Stoner West. She married Fenno R. West on August 27, 1934, in Glenwood, Iowa. He died October 13, 1975. She was a sales clerk for J. C. Penney in Red Oak for 16 years, retiring in 1975. She moved to East Moline in 1981.
She attended Riverside United Methodist Church, Moline, and was a member of First Christian Church, Red Oak. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing Bridge.
Madge is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Darleen and Ralph Liddell of Moline; two grandsons and their wives, Patrick and Karen Liddell of Rockford, Illinois, and Scott and Deb Liddell of Denver, Colorado; and four great-grandchildren, John, Alex, Sarah and Samuel Liddell. She was preceded in death by five sisters and four brothers.
