Mabel E. Tromblee

Seaton, Illinois Funeral Services for Mabel E. Tromblee, 75, of Seaton, will be Tuesday at 10:30 AM at Center Presbyterian Church, Seaton. Burial will be in Buffalo Prairie Cemetery. Visitation is Monday from 6 to 8 PM at Trimble Funeral Home, Aledo. Memorials may be made to the Seaton Library or the Amercian Cancer Society. Mabel died on Friday, April 4, 2003, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria. Mabel was born on August 25, 1927, in Colchester Township, McDonough County, Illinois, to William and Emma (Harris) Welch. She married William J. Robbins on May 28, 1949. Her marriage to Maynard Tromble was June 27, 1970 in Seaton, Illinois. Her husbands preceded her in death. Mabel was a waitress at the Merchants Hotel in her earlier years and more recently was a receptionist at Project Now. Mabel was a member of the Center Presbyterian Church and the Women's Circle of the Church. She was a member of several card clubs and Home Extension. She enjoyed gardening, especially flowers and was a volunteer at the Seaton Library. Mabel was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mable is survived by children and their spouses: Marshall Welch of Monmoth; LaDonna Holcomb of Aledo; Kathryn and William ‘Topper' Brock of Seaton; Diana and Tim Tromblee of Aledo; Merle Robbins of Aledo; step-children: Tim and Diana Tromblee of Aledo and Claudia Tromblee and Susan Mosetick of Joy; 14 Grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers: George Welch of New Brighton, IL; Charles Welch of Oquawka; Ora Welch, formerly of Oquawka, now of Galesburg and Robert Welch of Abington; 2 sisters: Ruth McConnell of Maquon and Neva Helton of Knoxville. Mabel was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; 3 children: Robert, Roberta and Kyron Robbins; a grandson, Willy Brock; 1 sister and 4 brothers.
