Moline, Illinois Loretta M. Rummery, 84, formerly of Moline, died Wednesday, September 3, 2003, in Alpine Fireside, Rockford, Illinois. Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. The Reverend Christian Meyer will officiate. Burial is in Riverside Cemetery, Moline. Visitation is from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The former Loretta Marie Harkcom was born October 25, 1918, in Moline, the daughter of Edward and Henrietta (Samuelson) Harkcom. She married Everett S. Rummery on July 1, 1939, in Moline. He died October 5, 1998. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Moline, for many years, and belonged to King's Daughters, the former Lutheran Hospital Auxiliary, and many Bridge groups. She enjoyed world-wide traveling with her husband and friends, gardening, cooking, baking, sewing, and community volunteering. Loretta is survived by her daughter, Janet C. Thorne of Rockford, Illinois; her son and daughter-in-law, Lee E. and Joan Rummery of Waterford, Wisconsin; five grandchildren and their spouses, Bradley and Julie Thorne, Susan and Steve Dickens, Andrea and Matthew Woda, Adam Rummery and Matthew Rummery; five great-grandchildren; and her sister and brother-in-law, Irma and Bernie French of Moline.
